Riding the Rainbow was created after the invasion of Ukraine by the Russians and the subsequent arrival of Ukrainian refugees in Luxembourg.
The client had a dream to provide every single young refugee with a bike, scooter, any other sports gear, or a musical instrument, bringing a light of the rainbow to families who left their homes escaping the war and leaving everything behind. Starting as a simple donation of a bike, the initiative has turned into a great project.
Riding the Rainbow it’s a community-based social platform where donors can upload their no longer needed items, and refugees can apply them directly and make connections with the donors in order to further receive those items. Using the platform is fairly easy and straightforward. When posting an item, the donor will choose the approximate location on the map for potential recipients. Once contacted, a dedicated and secure chat will allow arranging a meeting for a mutually convenient pick-up location.
Through the platform, people can not only donate and accept items, but also establish new connections, share experiences, and give advice and support.
